yesterday, I came home late from work. my eldest upon seeing me hand a paper and said, “this is for you..”
she drew a picture of small purple house with a tree beside it. I asked why she put the sun way down almost lying on the ground and she replied, “because it’s sunset, mamah” and smiled..
I was touched. because that very morning I made her (well, both of us actually) upset. she asked us to drop her to school and escort her to the classroom as usual, but I told her that I have to arrive early at work since I had an early meeting on 10. she cried when we left her.
and, I also had to arrive late that night. Instead of being angry, she was just smiling and gave me a present. what kind of mother I am?!
so I promised her to bring the drawing to work and hang it on my cubicle. I asked her to write both of our names on it. she has drawn a heart for me, but it is on the backside of the paper. I told her it is okay, I will always know the heart is there.
and there it is. as I promised her, the drawing is now proudly hang there. although I am damn sure, I am the one who really proud (of it)..
this drawing will always reminds me that no matter how bad you are, there is still somebody who believes that you are important…
Happy Thursday, folks!!!
